NFFL.com (Monticello, FL) – The luxurious Brahman Motel served as the site of the 2011 NFFL Spring Meetings. During the meetings many pressing league issues were discussed including division alignment, scoring and possible expansion.
“The NFFL League Office needs to address the injustice of the Miccosukee Nimrods playing in the Tagliabue Division. We’re a Lombardi Division kind of team, and I won’t rest until we move! Plus, I’m being discriminated against because I’m Polish.” said ‘Rods owner Joe Zollner.
The NFFL also addressed a possible work stoppage and how it could impact the 2011 season. While no decision was made Golden Eagles owner Tom Criss was tapped to head a task force to analyze the league’s options. Criss made a brief statement and noted “If the players go on strike everything is on the table. I’m not sure what we’ll do but I wouldn’t be afraid to field a team made up purely of midgets. Call them scabs if you want, but I’ll call them my little entertainers.”
